Fineline University and Mini Universities

Fineline University and Mini Universities are educational events that Fineline provides to our clients. Each topic is carefully selected and based on our customers’ expressed needs. And each event ensures that content is practical so you have specific action steps to take back to your office to implement.

Each topic is led by industry leaders and experts. Conducted several times a year, most events are held in our Fineline University training room at our facility on the northwest side of Indianapolis.

Our University series are another way Fineline demonstrates our commitment to helping our customers grow and achieve their goals. It embodies our quest that we will not ask for your business until we can improve it.

Mini Universities

It's difficult to leave your office for anything but lunch--and even that can be a challenge. That's why Fineline has developed Mini Universities to compliment our more robust Fineline University curriculum. Mini U's are different because they are more technical and hands-on, than conceptual. At two hours over lunch, it makes it easy to attend and easy to justify. This is just another way that Fineline gives you ways to improve your business.

SIZE MATTERS - Tips and Advice for Effective Signs and Displays
June 7, 2012 (11am to 1pm)

Enjoy a delicious lunch while you learn about the best substrate options for your sign projects. A brief segment on vehicle signage is included. We conclude with 8 design tips specific to large format print. You will leave the session with a solid understanding of both design and materials for creating effective and appropriate displays. BONUS: you will also receive your own substrate sample ring to take back to the office.

Lunch and Learns

Fineline provides free Lunch and Learns covering a variety of print related topics ranging from List Hygiene and Direct Mail to QR Codes and Email Marketing. To see a complete list of potential topics, click here. We customize each topic to fit your questions and/or experience level. Lunch and Learns can usually take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on your schedule. These can occur either at our facility or on-site.

Discovery Workshop: September 28, 2011

Our last Fineline University was exclusively for national and international fraternal, social, and professional organizations. This was targeted to Executive Directors and their go–to Marketing heads. It was a two hour "Lunch and Learn" limited to twelve participants. Fineline secured Frankie Gray from Kodak to lead this introspective session. He presented new and proven integrated marketing strategies and technologies and give participants case studies of what others in this industry are doing successfully. He consulted on how to better segment member data, be more relevant in communications, and get better returns on marketing dollars. Specifically, the session covered:

  • Engagement Marketing - Analysis lead individualization combining customer intelligence with multi-channel strategy & creative execution
  • Online-Offline Media Integration - mobile SMS shortcode, quick response (QR) code and social media listening platforms
